THE SCIENCE PARK

  • Electrical scrap (covers everything that uses electricity, whether it is a timer for batteries or a centrifuge at 230): computers, monitors, wires, coffee makers, microwave ovens, etc.
    Please make sure that your computer - or particular instrument - is clean and safe to transport.
    Place in iron cage in the basement of the building 3 (3133) (the former cold storage)
  • Fluorescent tubes and energy saving light bulbs
    Placed in the blue container in the basement of the building 3 (3133) (the former cold storage)
  • Batteries
    Placed in the battery box in the copy room
  • Iron/glass
    Place in container in the bike shed
  • Paper/cardboard
    Place in container in the parking lot
  • Other combustibles (incl. CDs, etc.)
    Place in container in the parking lot

"BIOKÆDEN" (campus)

  • Electrical scrap
    Place in iron cage in the refuse storage area in room 148, building 1135
    Covers everything that uses electricity, whether it is a timer for batteries or a centrifuge at 230): computers, monitors, wires, coffee makers, microwave ovens, etc.
    Please make sure that your computer - or particular instrument - is clean and safe to transport.
  • Fluorescent tubes and energy saving light bulbs
    Are changed by the janitors, see contact information by the elevator
  • Batteries
    Place in the battery box at the entrance to buildings 1130 and 1131 marked "batterier" or in the blue barrel by the iron cage in room 148, building 1135.
  • Iron
    Place in container in the workshop.
  • Glass
    Put in the glass container by room 148, building 1135.
  • Paper/cardboard
    Put in the bags in the corridors, large items (boxes) should be placed by the elevators and will picked up by the janitors.
  • Other combustibles (incl. CDs, etc.)
    Put in the bags in the corridors, large items should be placed in the container on the parking lot outside building 1131.

Aarhus University has made an agreement with Aarhus Kommune to handle the discarding of computer/electronics/apparaturs waste. All apparatus/computers must be transported to the waste dumps where it will be recycled or destroyed. Make sure that the computer - or especially the apparatus - is clean and safe for transportation
